We are interested in a broad range of physical and chemical processes in materials, with particular emphasis on structural transformations, interfacial mass transport, and charge-transfer kinetics during electrochemical reactions. The research activities of our group are centered on three major areas: (i) the development of in situ electron microscopy methodologies and instrumentation; (ii) the microscopic mechanisms of interfacial reactions, such as mass transport processes in electrochemical systems; and (iii) the synthesis and processing of non-equilibrium functional materials for applications in catalysis, energy conversion, energy storage, and related technologies.
